Just when I stand tall
chasing the northern light beyond the horizon,
the sun rises miraculously erasing the colours
and my naive soul turns miserable again.

It’s not just another coincidence,
it’s the cruel rhythm of my life
I always tried my best to catch the firefly
yet some cosmic interference always brings out the sunshine.

But I will never give up,
untill that light over the ridge strikes my eyes
I will touch the tip of the jewels
whether it happens today, tomorrow or someday later.

Life is meant to be full of sufferings
